3 litres a day challenge - Day 1

Drinking water seems like an easy task. But did u actually measure just how much you drink everyday? I know I didnt. It was more like one glass in the morning, one cup during breakfast, one glass during lunch and one glass during dinner. And those drinks are with sugar. To make matter worse, yesterday I only drank once in the morning and once at night which resulted to piercing headache/migraine that I had this morning. So I have read somewhere before this about a woman in her 40s who recovered from recurring piercing headaches and also at the same time restoring her youth just by drinking 3 litres of water every day. On that note, I am challenging myself to that. I've had it with these headaches early in the morning and also people telling me I look 35. Bleargh~

So here I am, 29 years old on Day 1 of 3 litres of Water a day for a month. 

So this is me at the start of 3 litres a day challenge. No make up, no water since I awoke. This shall be a "before" picture and I will be putting up pictures every week to see my progress. So we'll see how I do after a week :) 

Wish me luck and hope I stay on course of the challenge :)

Lagu Dialek Kelantan (Kelantanese Local Song)

I must say this is a good progress for me to be updating regularly.
I hope this continues :)

Baik! Mari kita tukar bahasa. Kali ni saya nak buat entry pasal lagu rakyat orang Kelantan. Saya anak kelahiran Kelantan tapi dibesarkan di luar negeri Kelantan. Enam tahun pertama, keluarga saya menetap di Pulau Pinang, lepas tu kami berpindah dan menetap selama 16 tahun di Muar,Johor. Tapi, walaupun kami adik beradik dibesarkan di negeri luar, Abah dan Mummy tak pernah ajar kami jadi orang luar. Kami makan singgang, makan budu, nasi kerabu, dan boleh bercakap dialek kelantan. Malangnya, sayalah yang paling kurang kelantan berbanding adik beradik lain. Mungkin sebab saya bersekolah sepenuhnya di selatan tanahair tak macam diorang yang ade pengalaman bersekolah di pantai timur. Syukur saya dipertemukan dengan suami saya. Arwah ayah mertua saya orang terengganu. Jadi, terbaitlah juga pantai timur.

Dalam usaha untuk tak melupakan identiti Kelantan dalam diri ini, terkenanglah pula lagu-lagu rakyat yang Mummy pernah nyanyikan dan ajarkan dulu-dulu. Typical me, as I grow up I tend to forget about things.

So, I googled.

When I googled "Lagu Traditional Kelantan", the search result didn't turn out as I wanted for. Oh! Sorry, I 'ter-switched' back to English. Well, why would I want to google that anyway right? Mainly because I wish to sing the kelantanese local songs to my children. One day...one fine day.

Anyway, there was this one fine day where Mummy, Adik and I were lepaking on the bed talking about random stuff when suddenly we talked about how she used to sing those songs to us and somehow my lil sis got hold of a pen and paper and started to write what my mum was singing.

The first song goes like this,

One two three four,

Ore curi masuk dapur,

tey denga golok tupo,

tubik daroh sembor-sembor,

gi jupo doketo

doketo kato mu putus urat jubo.

or like this,

cak kelepik kelepuk kelepak

woh berange lokoh kulit

There are also songs that we siblings love to sing and play to,

I'm pretty sure there's more than just the songs above but these are all that I have for now. Perhaps later I can share with you Banjar rakyat songs. Why banjar songs? Because my mom in law happens to be a banjar and I've heard her sing banjar local lullaby which was a real profound experience to me.As for now, hope you enjoy a taste of kelantan from me :)

Craving for Nando's Chicken?

Residing in Kuantan and originally coming from Kota Bharu doesn't actually allow me to have a bite at my favorite dine-in restaurant, Nando's like I used to. Occasionally, I'll get the chance to dine there but only when my hubby have matters to do in KL or I get to attend courses there. So, I have to resort to what most oversea students do when they crave something; COOK IT ON YOUR OWN!

This might be the most long awaited entry by my bestfriend. Well,this one is for you bubis!

I was aiming to make an exact dish like the one at Nando's; complete with the side dishes :)

 So, there's going to be 3 recipes for this entry.

Nando's Peri-Peri Flame Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

• 1 whole chicken (cut into desired portions; I love mine small,easier to eat :P)
• 1 bottle of Hot Nando's Peri Peri Sauce
• 1/2 bottle of Sweet Hot Nando's Peri Peri Sauce
• Some lemon juice.

Since I'm in Malaysia,I got my supplies of Peri Peri sauces from Cold Storage. They offer 4 variations here but my personal pick will be those two mentioned above. You might want to add the Garlic Peri Per sauce too. It is essential that you use only these sauce because if you won't it wouldn't be Nando's chicken, would it?

First, pound the chicken lightly to flatten it. You can also make small slashes on the chicken. The trick is to allow the marinade to seep through and through. Marinate the chicken in large zip lock bag with the above glorious concoction for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator or up til 3 days. You may grill it over charcoal BBQ or do it like me, grilled over the stove or just roast in the oven. While cooking the chicken, basting it generously with the remaining marinade will add more oomph! Do not throw away the marinate leftover. You can use it as sauce later. Once done, please remember to recite Bismillah before eating :)

Aaron Aziz beraksi lagi!

Since early September rasanya ramai yang dah mula mengikut drama lakonan terbaru abang AA (Aaron Aziz) kita. Seusai hati wanita-wanita Malaysia dialunkan dengan watak "Seth Tan" dan "Malik", now he appears before us as "Adam" or better known as "Am".Watak terbaru AA kali nin ada sedikit riak seperti watak dalam Nora Elena, mungkin sebab membawa karakter dalam novel jugak. Tapi ternyata karakter sebegini sememangnya makanan AA. Lakonan dia menjadi betul especially when it comes to watak yang cheeky, naughty, a bit dark yet handsome. Ala-ala bad boy gitu. Aren't we girls always attracted to bad boy character anyway such as Jacob and Edward in Twilight? Especially bila AA buat muka kerut-kerut, senyum simpul, takpun masa dia berkata-kata jiwang. *hanyut seketika sambil membayangkan Encik Suami dalam mode romantis*

Ok. Cukup di situ. Entri kali ini bukan sempena Aaron Aziz tapi drama Adam & Hawa itu sendiri.

 Adam & Hawa ni sebenarnya sebuah drama yang diadaptasi dari novel dengan tajuk yang sama tulisan Aisya Sofea. I have to be honest here, I have never read the novel. So, can never know how the ending will be.(Ok, tipu. Sebenarnya dah dapat agak.Confirm last2 dorg happy together jgak). Jalan cerita might be a bit cliche. Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Girl buat-buat jual mahal padahal dah tangkap syok. Somehow they got married. Pastu merasalah manisnya bercinta selepas kahwin. Well, that's how most of novel melayu is. (Sorry, sedikit generalisation di situ.)

But what interests me the most is lakonan Nadiya Nissa as heroin drama ni merangkap Hawa. Oh! Nama penuh karakter ni is Ain Hawani, ade nama saya di situ, Maka saya suka. Hehe! Ok. Berbalik pada Pn.Nadiya Nissa ni. Dia bukanlah pendatang baru. Dulu dah ade berlakon dengan Remy Ishak dalam filem Cun.Kalau tak silap, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award. So, she maybe has something good to offer to the audience.

And yes, she  definitely does has a huge talent within her. Of her acting in Cun and hers in Adam & Hawa, she has proven that she has versatility of an actress. She might be a 'special' girl in Cun but she is a total opposite in her new drama. Young, witty and gorgeous. Her looks memang portray seorang gadis melayu and her mole really proves my theory yang itu memang penambah seri wajah. Her acting is very natural and genuine. On the first episode, I was skeptical with her. My exact thought was,"Ntah sape sape lah yang dorang amek buat heroin ni". Ternyata telahan saya meleset. She represents us Malay girls the best! Unlike other Malay dramas, the heroins mesti ade monolog sendirian di jalanan ataupun di pantri ofis ataupun di kedai makan sambil mata dijegil dan lensa kamera dizoom ke arah mata mereka. Logiknya, real life where got all  that one! Paling-paling pun monolog dalaman dengan suara hati tak pun bila berseorangan bercakap dengan anak patung. Ha! Kan sama ngan karakter Ain Hawani. Dia ada Cik Ted! (It so happens I have my own Cik Ted too; a real life Teddy!) Lakonan Nadiya Nissa is not the only thing that attracts me to her. I have also come across her blog . Saya suka hasil tulisan dia. And also, hubby dia good looking jugak. Much better looking than AA. Haha! But nothing beats my cute hubby!

Unfortunately, I can't watch it every weeknights like everybody else. I don't subscribe to Astro Beyond HD and to install it takes time. At the mean time ni, tengok je la online dengan ihsan sesapa yang sudi mengupload. Kalau balik rumah mertua dapatlah menatap kehenseman dan kecunan Am & Ain secara HD.Huhu~

p/s: Bahagia sudah kerana berjaya mengupdate blog. There's tonnes of things I'd like to share sebenarnya tapi never manage to come to it. Hope I'll manage to blog more soon :)
