And the reason is YOU.

WHY DO YOU BLOG?

I found this question recurring in my mind continuously lately. Why did I begin to blog initially? I might have said that I would like to have a medium to let out what's kernel-ed inside of me. Or I might have said that I'd like to keep a moment-to-moment momentos of my not-so-eventful life. Or I might have said that I blog to polish up the writing skill that is slowly deteriorating. Yup.. an English academician with deteriorating writing skills. Pathetic much? Totally.

But truth behold, the real reason why I blog is I would like to be heard. I would like to matter. I strongly believe that as a human being, we need some sort of two-way communication. To give and receive is a really fulfilling emotion. Yet, I neglected the blog and switched to Facebook. Please note that being 27 and single is very depressing. Especially when you were not single 5 months before and must adapt to the idea of singlehood and Facebook at one point had a promising expectation that it would fill up my lonely days. It is afterall the SOCIAL NETWORK.

Facebook WAS exhilarating. At one point I felt I was really connected to people and matter as with each status i post it will be "liked" or "commented to". Not to forget that it allows you to stalk :)

Though it exhilarates, it doesn't provide me the space for pouring out at my heart's content, it promotes misunderstandings, it made friends split, it made so many things go haywire. Which made me miss blogging.

Thus, here I am again, blogging at this hour with the hope that I would matter to you. In the future, I intend to write about meaningful events, self-reflection and most importantly positive outlook to life.

So, if you're reading this, show yourself as I'd like you to matter to me too. :)

p/s: You will only matter to me if you are in the form of positive matter. :)
