Over on Facebook, almost all muslims are talking about the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan. And I'm one of them. :) 3 and a half days to go now actually. After this period, all muslims shall be fasting during the day and at night striving upon gaining the great benefits hidden within the month.
This Ramadhan shall be a whole new experience to me. Being already wedded, this coming fasting month will definitely make a huge difference to my usual fasting routine.
For the last 3 years of being a single careerwoman, Ramadhan was taken lightly by me. Sahur was very simple; just kurma, hot tea & plain water. Even breaking the fast was as simple; some kuih, cold drink and that is it. When it comes to terawikh prayer, I have to admit that I was a bit liat to perform it after I have started renting outside the college. Astaghfirullah. It was much easier to perform the terawikh prayers when I stayed within the college vicinity since it is just walking distance.
*sigh* teruk kan I dulu!
This coming Ramadhan, hopefully things will improve for the better. Question is, will I be as good as my mum?
Kalau dulu masa kecik-kecik, rasa kagum sangat dengan Mummy masa sahur and berbuka and even lepas terawih. Just how she managed to whip up a scrumptios meal for the whole family is truly amazing! Dalam kita ngantuk2 bangun sahur, tengok2 kat meja terhidang makanan favourite: telur mata goreng dengan kicap! Pastu setelah terjelepuk lembik baru belajar puasa, Mummy hidangkan nasi ayam ngan air sirap bandung. Lepas terawikh pulak, ade mihun goreng. Kagum oh!
*suddenly tak sabar nak balik berpuasa dengan Mummy*
Hehe!
May you have a blissful Ramadhan people!

"Let's Meet and Catch Up," they say.
You know how it is after a long holiday and you finally meet up with friends again.
Be it back when you were in boarding school or when you were in college/university or when you're already in the working industry. We will without fail fill in our dear friends with the latest news, juice and gossip of what they were unknown of in which is all under the term of catching up. I personally feel 'catching up' is merely a cover up term used to talk badly about other people.
Don't you guys think so? They say catching up, I say mengumpat.
I know catching up sometimes means you're filling in your friends with your current happenings. But nak tak nak , sometimes we wil tercakap and terkutuk pasal orang lain also.
So here is my experience into the picture. Currently I'm volunteering as Petugas Sukma. My work isn't that hard actually, merely making sure all the athletes get good food at clean cafeteria and on time. Easy? Well, easy job comes with a price. The price of having to wait up at the cafeteria for 3 hours observing people. It can quite B.O.R.I.N.G. So, just by observing with other fellow colleagues, the catching up session intervenes. After a month leave, I'm sure left behind with the gugu gaga of work and colleagues. Usually I just sit in and smile and laugh where appropriate. (Mind you, my workplace are full of snakes and lizards if you know what I mean) Until a topic arose, 'catching up' of other people's marriage.
Well, I don't really mind if they want to talk about how our colleague, who is a superior, marrying a client but I was awe-stricken when they went up to the extent of the googling up the couple just so they can gossip about them more. If you must know, our colleague was very secretive of her wedding and life. But to me, its her rights as it is her life. What I couldn't comprehend is the extent of googling. What is the purpose of googling again? To talk badly about somebody with content?
Witnessing such act in front of my eyes was a real eye-opening experience to just how sick 'catching up' can be. But I understand being a member of our community especially when you are a female, we can't avoid from this incident. Somehow akan ter-mengumpat jugak. In the end, its your call really whether nak tegur or nak join or nak senyap or nak angkat kaki when such incident occur. The best would be, as how my paksi positif says, "buat bodoh jer".
So, what would you do? "Let's Meet and Catch Up," they say. It's your call, you decide.

Post Hiatus
A wedding and adapting to a new life sure does take a lot of time. Good thing though I have somehow adapted. A lot has happened since the wedding. Oh! Not to forget, my wedding itself was quite a drama. I have been bottling it all up all this while.
But then again, came across an article: Talking to yourself makes you smarter
Well, blogging is talking to yourself to begin with. So, it is a great initiative to be smarter, isn't it? Hehe!
Let's blog again~!

After tomorrow, it's one digit only
Today is 10 more days to our wedding.
Freaking out deep inside.
Things are still a lot to be settled.
In fact, a whole lot more is yet to be settled.
But what's most important is my mental prep.
a m i r e a d y t o b e a w i f e . . . ?
Will I be ready to meet new family members?
Will I be able to live up to their expectations?
Will I be able to perform my duty as a doted wife?
Will I be able to be less moody and more understanding?
Will I be asked to cook on my first day at his family?
Perhaps I'm imagining the worst?
But, I'm the only daughter-in-law!
Mak must have some expectation.
Can I live up to it?
~t h i s i s n e r v e - w r e c k i n g~
I may be trembling inside.
And I am weak at the knees.
But, somehow at the very sight of him
I managed to gain my strength
and be more willful and impatient
to be his lawfully wedded wife.
So, the night of 9th March 2012
the solemnization shall take place
and we will become rainbows.

Reasons not to date a photographer
You may or you may not know but now I am currently dating a photog. And today I came across this list on 50 reasons not to date a photographer on facebook ; credit to Rimba Bara. I must say some of it is true and believe me, they are really true. So, have a look then. :)
Note to Mr.Fiancè, you are no. 1,3,5,12,14,16,25,27,28,34,36,42,43,44,47,50. But you are an exception to no. 30 and as for no. 38, I'm giving you a birthday hint :)
50 Reasons NOT to Date A Photographer:
1. They rather hold their bulky camera, than hold hands with you.
2. On a romantic date, you’ll watch the sun go down and think “Wow this is gorgeous” and they’ll go “mirror lock, tripod, and stop down f/8 at 1/125.”
3. You’ll never be able to enjoy tv, movies, or magazines because they’ll point out all the visual flaws.
4. They like to sit in obscure coffee shop and voyeuristically watch people for great lengths of time.
5. If you’re taking a walk outside and you come across some “interesting light” they will make you sit/stand/pose in public so that they can take a photo.
6. You’ll never get to enjoy freshly cooked meals because they’ll spend 15 minutes taking 20 variations of the same dish with their iPhone.
7. They get angry when your friends go up to them and say “I am interested in photography, can you recommend a good camera for me? Nothing professional I just want to take pretty pictures.”
8. You’ll wait longer for them to finish analyzing art in a museum than you’ll wait at the dmv
9. Same goes with old used bookstores.
10. When you think they’re giving you their undivided attention, they’re really wondering how they could fix you with a little Clone Tool and Patch Tool.
11. Or they are actually using you to not look so creepy as they people watch everything going on around you.
12. They rather drop $1,000+ on new glass than a purse for you.
13. You can’t take a photo with them without taking at least five more.
14. If you ask them if you look fat, they’ll say “don’t worry I can photoshop you later.”
15. They’ll never photoshop something simple for you if the content is not up to their “standards.”
16. That photo they randomly took of you yesterday? Good luck getting them to send it to you.
17. They spend all their time on the computer (and not for porn.)
18. They can’t have a normal conversation with throwing acronyms and random numbers.
19. They still use film cameras.
20. They spend a lot of time with people cooler than you i.e. models, actors, musicians, successful rich people.
21. They’ll be fussy over the position of a common household object, like a coffee cup.
22. They won’t return your calls or text messages, but you can bet they’re still posting pics on Instagram.
23. They like watching old films that you’ve never heard or will ever understand.
24. They like looking at weird things in general.
25. Instead of having penis-envy, they have camera-gear-envy.
26. If there’s a natural disaster in a far away land, they’re already on a plane going over there.
27. Everything is watermarked.
28. They think everyone else’s photos suck.
29. They want to color correct a lot of scenes from Twilight and Jersey Shore.
30. They hate rainbows, especially ones spinning in a circle.
31. Whenever you’re in a group talking and the conversation goes deep, they’re taking notes in some form of Moleskin.
32. They use over priced Moleskin notebooks.
33. They like trespassing into old abandoned buildings filled with health hazards.
34. They always want to show a new photo they took, but don’t really care if you like it or not.
35. They hate your n00bie friend’s new artsy profile picture.
36. Bright, sunny days make them sad, but cloudy, overcast days are apparently great!
37. They’ll take you into places that have “culture” as well a high chance of getting mugged.
38. Your birthday present will be a portrait that they’ve taken of you.
39. You can’t go anywhere new without them stopping to take a photo of everything and anything.
40. They will always bug you to be a test subject.
41. Nothing can ever be naturally pretty, everything must be fixed in Photoshop.
42. Bringing their camera means, bringing 50lbs of equipment.
43. If you break any of their things on accident, you’ll owe them thousands of dollars.
44. You can’t get them a birthday/Christmas present without spending at least $500
45. They are natural hoarders, collecting and keeping piles of old newspapers, packaging, magazines, and other things that “inspire” them.
46. They are weird and geeky.
47. They have hard drives of photos, but probably have printed 10 images.
48. They are always secretly judging your creativity.
49. If you’re ever in auto mode, they laugh at you.
50. They orgasm every time they learn a new lighting technique.

Tertekan-tubi
This wedding has started to take its toll on me. Fights have interfered in our relationship. Tears have escaped from the brim of my eyes. Please dear Allah, if this is our path, let it be an easy road for us to work it and make it happen.
Kupohon darimu Ya Allah,
Permudahkanlah urusan kami,
Permudahkanlah urusan kami,
Permudahkanlah urusan kami,
Dalam merancang hidup untuk bersama ini.
Amin.

Today Kadlawo.com put up a status.
Kad kahwin adalah tanggapan pertama drpd rakan2 & tetamu tntng majlis perkahwinan anda
Baiklah! More presurre on my shoulder!
So I have this concept that I would like to have. I want to have (if possible) rainbow on my card. Because the rainbow is really significant with my heart and my lovelife. I have gone thru a lot of thunderstorms and what not. Now only I've found my rainbow a.k.a Mr. Ninja dearest (mwuah!mwuah!). But, which one to choose?
Exhibit A.
Exhibit B
Exhibit C
Exhibit D
Exhibit E
I personally like Exhibit B. So, what say you Mr. Ninja dearie?
